Mario Kills Tanooki ..

Hello fellow blog readers! Sorry it’s been so long since I’ve wrote a blog post. I hope this post finds everyone healthy and happy.  Earlier today PETA put out a statement about the newest Nintendo game “Super Mario 3D Land” for most Nintendo fans this game has been one of the most anticipated games of the year, with its amazing graphics and the comeback of the famous Tanooki suit. For those of you who don’t know what a Tanooki suit is, it’s a special power up leaf that gives Mario the ability to wear a raccoon suit so that he can use his tail to defeat enemies and fly, this outfit originally came out in October 1988 on Super Mario Bros 3.

Peta’s statement came out by surprise the people for the ethical treatment of animals claim the suit is doing a un justice to raccoon dog’s, saying that the wearing the skin of a animal such as the tanooki  will power people to slaughter animals for fur clothes to wear and that the video game makes it okay to do so.

As a fellow Nintendo fan I was nearly shocked to read this statement from Peta, But what really took the cake was when I went to the Peta webpage at features.peta.org/Mario-kills-tanooki/ This page Peta has put together with a video game called Super Tanooki Skin 2D with a bloody picture of Mario holding the head of a raccoon with a video under the game called take action to save raccoon dogs. Along with some other stuff making fun of Nintendo and McDonalds.

I've been a Nintendo fan since I was a child; I spent countless hours playing super Mario bros 3 when the Tanooki suit was released. I find this statement from peta almost to be a joke for attention. While playing Super Mario Bros 3 I never once thought about the Tanooki suit as something bad or thought hey that’s cool looking on Mario I want to slaughter an animal and get me a suit too. That’s a crazy thought from them and this is coming from an animal lover, I would never harm one. I do plan to buy Super Mario 3D land. In my opinion it’s a cartoon and harming an animal because it is the last on a Nintendo fans mind.

I’m very curious about how Nintendo will handle the accusations from Peta; I also wonder if there will be a lawsuit on Nintendo’s side for remaking the Mario character into a game such as Peta did.  I really hope that this ridicules nonsense will blow over soon! But again guy’s what are your thoughts? Do you agree with Peta? Or do you feel the same as I do?

Rainbow 3DS Stylus Pack

Hello fellow blog readers!

I hope everyone's has enjoyed the weekend. Last weekend I picked up a package of the 3DS Rainbow Slide Stylus's. Normally I don't review such a small insignificant product but I had to with this one!

First off I love the colors of these little styluses, a lot of people find having a bunch of diffident colors a waste but some of us like me enjoy variety. After using this product for a week I can say it is really nice.

This stylus expands for more length. I find the product very comfortable to hold onto because of the thickness, I don't like the small stylus. The tips of the styluses are soft and won’t scratch the screen unlike some products I've tested for the 3DS. Although this product will not fit in the original 3DS stylus hole because of its thickness I would recommend this product to anyone and at the price for 9.99 for 5 it's a great deal! So if you have a 3DS or any DS systems check them out!! Thanks again for reading everyone, please leave comments if you have any and enjoy the coming week!

  Peace and Love,

My Review of the Motorola Triumph

After using the Motorola Triumph for a week, I find this device to be an advanced smart phone added to the Virgin Mobile network. Phone call quality is pleasing along with the 1 GHz Snap Dragon Processor this device runs admirable

I have enjoyed taking pictures with the 5 Mega Pixel Camera the photo’s turn out pure and radiant, It’s also very nice to see a LED flash added to a cell phone again. I’ve played games, downloaded applications, listened to music and sent videos to my friends; there are no limits to this phone.

The Touch screen and buttons have been responsive and I’ve noticed no issues. I really believe that the Motorola Triumph from Virgin Mobile is the best Android device in the prepaid field at this time.

Virgin Mobile Smartphone’s get new Account App/Web page

Happy Thursday blogger readers!! How is everyone this nice afternoon? Today Virgin Mobile finally released an improved account page; Although Virgin Mobile is calling this an application it really located in your main web browser under the Bookmarks tab. This webpage is a huge step up from Virgin Mobile’s early log in page in which made it nearly impossible to check your minutes used and top up cash to your account which was basically logging into Virginmobileusa.com through your cell phone it was quite buggy. So far this new account set up is only available for Smartphone’s such as Blackberry and Android devices.

After testing this website out with my Lg Optimus V I found it very stable and reliable. With this new application you’re able to add money, check minutes used, check account activity, find a store, and change your plan and much more.  But if you still want that application on your Android device there is one application that allows you to check out your used minutes and payment time search for minutes checker in the Android market, but I am very pleased with this new web page! Great Job virgin. Thanks again everyone for taking the time to read this blog! Enjoy the weekend coming up!

3DS coming to America in Flame Red

Hello fellow blog readers! How’s everyone doing this fine morning? As you recall last night I posted a blog about the Nintendo 3DS price drop, I also touched on the subject that Nintendo would probably release some different colors during the holiday season. I definitely wasn’t expecting it to be this soon but this morning when I woke up I found out that Nintendo of America had decided to release the flame red Nintendo 3DS! Nintendo is definitely stepping up the game by releasing this color choice it makes it more appealing to those who have not got the device.

September 9th you will be able to buy the 3DS in this amazing red color. I love the metallic look of the system it sure makes the red sparkle!  Plus with the new suggested retail price of the 3DS you will be getting it at the new cheap price of 169.99 so that’s a huge savings.  When I posted pictures of the 3DS last night I posted Purple, Gold and Orange my favorite would be that beautiful Orange but the red is definitely great! What color would you like to see the Nintendo 3DS? Let me know you’re thoughts. Will you buy one? Thank you again for your ongoing support on my blog and YouTube channel at http://www.youtube.com/sassygirl8324  you guys are great!

Nintendo 3DS Price Drop

Hello fellow geeks and gamers! I hope you all are doing wonderful this week. I apologies for my absence on my blog as of late so many times real life and laziness cause the lack of video’s and blog posts, But I’m hoping to continue my blog with updated information on the world of technology and gaming..

On July 1st I bought my Nintendo 3DS system (Aqua Blue) at Best Buy the cost was a whopping 250 Dollars, honestly when I bought the system it didn’t feel like that much money but after I was thinking to myself how much it really was, Think about it.. The Nintendo Wii home system is currently 134 dollars on Walmart.com and this is a hand held device! I couldn’t stand the thought of 250 dollars after playing with the system for a while. Sure it’s cool the neat AR cards and the ability to make Mii’s and that great looking 3D but definitely not 250 dollars cool.

I knew after playing the system that Nintendo would have to lower the price to compete in the market and that they did. A couple weeks ago Nintendo released a statement that there new 3DS would be getting a price drop from 250 dollars to 169 that’s a huge price drop! It also makes the system more appealing, I believe this is going to help sell a lot of systems and games in the long run.

I was especially happy that I returned my system for a cash refund a couple weeks after buying it so now I will be able to get it at the much cheaper rate! But what about those who have already bought the system!? Well Nintendo is promising 10 free downloads so you are getting a lot of games for free, But I still feel it’s a rip off to those people because a lot of true gamers my already own the games. It’s just too bad Nintendo didn’t start at this price. Don’t get me wrong in any way but I believe the lineup for the 3DS sucked and so did the system price.

The Nintendo 3DS system price drop started already at Wal-Mart in most Wal-Mart stores and online you can take advantage already of the price drop before it occurs on August 12th! I’m so happy I waited and I’m looking forward to getting a 3DS system! At this price I think everyone that’s into gaming should check it out. Also for those not interested in the 3DS color line up Aqua Blue and Cosmo Black I’m willing to bet by Christmas time you will see other colors to attract customers, Nintendo is very good at doing that... Look how many colors the Dsi has been over the years!

Anyway guy’s sorry for all the rambling! But thank you again for reading my blog, It means a lot to me!  You guys are great.  Please tell me your thoughts on the Nintendo 3DS good or bad I’d love to hear them...

                                                                                Peace,

(Here are some other colors I hope to see in America)

Sassy’s game picks from the Nintendo E3 Conference.

Hello fellow blog readers, I hope you’re all feeling great and enjoying the week.  Sorry I was unable to touch base yesterday after the E3 conference. There have been a lot of great things released from Nintendo over the last 24 hours and I would love to give my ideas on the new upcoming game line up.  Let’s get started.

Mario Kart for the 3DS this game is hot looking the previews where so exciting from the video clip this time around you will be able to customize your car and wheels, for me customization is always great. Nintendo also added a lot of great tracks, But I think what blew everyone away was the fact that the Mario kart can now drive in water and it also has a glider to go into the air the video clip was great this game has graphics that are so impressive for a handheld system.

Super Mario on the 3DS another game with stunning graphics. From the preview of this one, it almost reminded me of the Mario Galaxy Series of games one of my favorites of all time. Mario’s back with his tail as Tanooki It’s been such a long time since we have seen that. In this new Mario series, Nintendo has added new enemies to fight, this is looking great and where told it will be released this year!

Animal Crossing 3D! This is the game I’ve been waiting to hear about since Nintendo 1st spoke about it last year. Although Nintendo didn’t have time to discuss this game during E3 they released a new video clip on it and boy am I excited. Being a huge AC fan seeing the trailer I was quite amazed by everything they have added and this game is still in the works so it could even get more. With the new Animal Crossing you will be able to now add clothes to your character such as pants, skirts and other items you couldn’t have before.. The town looks beautiful on the 3DS and they even brought back the tents and during the video the character jumped off the dock into the water swimming YES! Does this indicate that during the winter we will be able to walk on the frozen water?? I am hoping for this to come out this year..

Luigi’s Mansion 2 will be released for the 3DS and this has to be the second most exciting game for me. Unfortunately I missed out on the first Luigi Mansion but I seen the screen shots for that game and it looked great. Luigi has to be one of my favorite Nintendo characters and I love that Nintendo made a game for just him.  Nintendo has also told us this game will not just be one Mansion it will be a couple.  I really hope this game comes out during October it would make a cutie Halloween special from Nintendo.

Kirby Returns to Dream Land on the Wii, Kirby’s Epic yarn was my 1st ever Kirby game and I instantly fell in love with the cute little pink guy.  Kirby’s back and changing into all types of objects a sword, whip and leaf also Nintendo tells us that there will be new super abilities another great cute game.

Go Vacation is coming to the Wii this fall from NAMCO BANDAI this game looks like a lot of fun for really anyone and reminds me of some of the Wii Motion Plus games. Including Swimming, Water Rafting, Volleyball, Scuba Diving and water guns it looks action pack and fun.

These are the games that I’m most excited about that where introduced at E3 this year there are many that I didn’t discuss in this blog feel free to visit Nintendo.com for the latest releases. Also I will continue in the coming week on my thoughts on the new Nintendo Wii U system and controller. Thanks again for reading this blog and have a wonderful rest of the week.

ROM's to Android

A happy Monday blog readers! While doing an application review last Friday I spoke about ROM's, I was currently playing Pokémon Ruby on my Android device. There were many comments and messages about what program I used and how to go about obtaining ROM's for game play. So today I figured why not make a blog and explain how to obtain these games. ROM’s are games from older video game systems such as Nintendo, Game boy Advanced, Playstation and Sega Genesis these games are all playable on android phones.

Every game system has a different player just like if you had a Nintendo game you would need a system to play it on; in this case you need an application from the Android market called SNESoid or NESoid.  Some of the systems need a file to run such as the Game boy advanced need’s the file Bios to run the games or roms with the program.  You can find Rom’s all over the internet but I have one website that I find the best.  http://www.roms4droid.com this page is amazing because of the amount of game’s and support there is, let’s go over how to add these too you’re phone.

Game boy Advanced..

Download the Game boy Advanced Bios you can find this here http://www.roms4droid.com/r/gbabios.rar  you must unRAR this file to add it to your phone if you don’t know how to unRAR look on yahoo for a free program to do that there’s many.

Download the game’s you want.

All the game’s you have downloaded unzip all of the files in most cases you’re able to open the folders and remove the file without unzipping but if you’re pc is running a older windows, I recommend using WinZip to unzip files.

Connect you’re USB Cord to your Android Device make sure to mount the phone so that it will be properly connected.

Make a clean file folder in your phone name it ROMS in cap letters.

Drag and drop you’re games and bios into the folder.

When you’re finished adding all you’re games and you’re bios unmount you’re android phone and unplug
.
Go to the Android market and look for the Emulator there is two versions free and pay I use the free and it works fine the file name is GameBOID.

After installing GameBOID turn on the program.. Click the little blue SD card, find you’re ROMS folder Click that and you will see you GBA BIOS when starting up the GameBOID it will ask for that this is how you find it. You will also see all you’re games listed you downloaded.

You’re ready to play feel free to add games anytime you like but don’t remove the BIOS or you will have to go over the steps again.

See it’s quite a simple process to play these games on your phone it just takes a little getting used to setting everything up. There are many system’s I didn’t even cover in this blog, Feel free to check out roms4droid.com there’s also instructions on their website for each game system. I hope this helped you out. Feel free to ask questions or drop a line in the comment box and thank you again for reading my blog.  Enjoy the week..
